Meet Your Farmers

4 adults and 2 kids standing by the farm stand in front of the farm sign

We are a small family farm using ecologically minded practices to produce  products that we ourselves feel good about growing and eating. We currently have a little under an acre in cultivation, where we grow a variety of vegetables, herbs, berries, and fruit. We keep goats for dairy and chickens for eggs, as well as, the occasional flock of turkeys or chickens for meat. We are committed to growing food without chemicals because we believe it is what is best for our health, the land, and the animals we care for. If you see us around the farm, please say Hello and let us know how we can help you.

Christina

She studied Environmental Studies at UC-Santa Cruz where she led tours and took classes at the university's organic farm. From there she went to Peace Corps working as a Natural Resource Management Volunteer, helping farmers in their fields. After Peace Corps she interned at the Dawn Institute in Northern California for a season. Next up was a position on Orcas Island in Washington at Morning Star Farm as their farm manager. Christina also worked two seasons on Sauvie Island in Portland, OR; one was at Sauvie Island Organics and the other at Vibrant Valley Farm.

Now here at Oak Song Farm she has started her own business with her family.  She is excited to be growing food for the local community, as well as, her family. Christina loves working outdoors and is hoping to pass on this love to her son and daughter who you will often see farming alongside her. If you ever have any questions about our vegetable or flower production Christina is the lady to ask.
